About:

Tyler Welton-Stewart has been an avid composer for ten years now. Graduating with first class honours at Queen's University Belfast in 2019. Throughout university he specialised in composition and musicology, studying under contemporary composers Simon Mawhinney, and Piers Hellawell. Throughout his academic career he has written music for choir, orchestra, solo voice, in addition to piano works.

Tyler's music focuses on lush blending of voices, always striving to create a colourful soundscape. Tyler regularly takes commissions and is always eager to work with fellow musicians, and poets. Most recently he has completed a large choral work with soprano solo, and chamber orchestra, dedicated to soprano Nikki Eoute, with text by Euan Tait.

Hoping to continue develop his technique, Tyler looks forward to undertaking his masters degree in musicology, as well as a PhD in composition, in the near future.
